Richard II – Res Ration Network
by William Shakespeare
Roes Theatre, Athens 2016
Aristotelion Theatre, Thessaloniki (Gr) 2017
Situated in the tragic occasion of a king’s dethronement, of his denudation from his kingship and of the seismic impact this has to his consciousness, the play Richard II draws inspiration from the human condition, the passions, the collapse of moral order and the Great Mechanism of History, which proves to be stronger than persons and power. The play is based on William Shakespeare’s “King Richard II” and was presented by Rēs Ratio Network, under the direction by Efi Birba.
